The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth is part of the University of Massachusetts system and is located in North Dartmouth between New Bedford and Fall River. Sometimes referred to as UMass-Dartmouth, UMassD, or UMD, this is a small campus of undergraduate, graduate, and continuing education students. This campus specializes in training engineers, health care workers, marine scientists, teachers, performing and visual arts, business students, and graduates n the liberal arts. School history

I became part of the University of Massachusetts system in 1991 and has expanded since then, particularly in continuing education.
