History of the fair
The Topsfield Fair got its start back in 181, when the Essex Agricultural Society was officially granted a charter. Since then, the fair has been dedicated to promoting and improving the agricultural interests of farmers and others in Essex County. Now, some 192 years later, The Topsfield Fair continues to educate the public on the importance of agriculture, as well as provide unique attractions and fantastic entertainment. From the mighty midway, to the great grandstand shows, there's always something worth seeing and doing during the Topsfield Fair. Customers of Verc New England Rental Cars will enjoy a number of special events at this year's fair, including the local Farmer's Market, the Friesian Horse Show, and the Old Car Club Show. For a full itinerary of upcoming events, visit the official Topsfield Fair website at www.topsfieldfair.org.

One of the most popular events at the annual Topsfield Fair has to be the Antique Tractor Pull. The tractors that participate in this pull are simple, yet strong ?stock tractors from local backyards with absolutely no modification. The only rule ?you must drive a model that's from 1970 or older. The pull is held on Friday at the fair, so don't forget to drop by and check it out.
