About the Library's architecture
The Thomas Crane Library underwent a three-year renovation and expansion project in 2001. This included the addition of a brand new multi-million dollar research wing. The project was funded by the city of Quincy, and included grants from the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners and the Massachusetts Historical Commission. Much of the restoration was done with the help of nothing more than old photographs and elbow grease. Customers of Verc Car Rentals Quincy are encouraged to visit the Thomas Crane Library for more information on the building's architect and restoration.
