Most often referred to as "The Garden" this sports arena was used to be known as the FleetCenter and the Shawmut Center. The name of the game

The Garden opened on Sept. 30, 1995 as home to the Boston Bruins and the Boston Celtics. The Shawmut Bank fought with the Fleet Bank as to who the arena would be named after. They merged together and soon after, the Shawmut logo was stamped on every seat and the colors were dedicated to Shawmut. Just before the arena opened, the logos and the colors had to be changed. Eventually on March 3, 2005, TD Banknorth who was the US subsidiary of the Toronto-Dominion Bank bought the naming rights to the arena. A high-tech environment

The TD Banknorth Garden has had 33 different names in the short time that it has been around. When it was known as the FleetCenter, sportswriters liked to refer to the arena as "The Vault". Just prior to the 2006-07 season, the arena underwent some huge changes. A brand new HD entertainment monitor was installed for the enjoyment of the fans and there were video advertising panels that replaced the old scrolling ones during basketball games.
