Providence and the surrounding areas have many great places for you to eat during your Massachusetts travels. There is such diversity of cuisine in this city to fit every budget. There are many types of restaurants from the exotic to all-American diners that specialize in different types of dining experiences.

Rhode Island has some specialty dishes that you will want to try on your Massachusetts travels. Some of the true dishes to experience here include brick oven pizza, shrimp primavera, sirloin steak, grilled chicken, chicken chow mien, and beef enchilada. Each restaurant will have its own twist on these dishes, so be sure to try at least one here.

Providence has some great restaurants that you may want to try:
- Mill’s Tavern: offering American cuisine, this restaurant has been voted “Best Restaurant in Rhode Island” by the readers of Rhode Island Monthly. Try something made from their wood-fired cooking, that is their specialty.
- Asian Paradise: you don’t have to go around the world to get some great Asian cuisine. You can get it on your Massachusetts travels. They offer a variety of Cambodian, Chinese, Thai, and Vietnamese foods as well as vegetarian selections.
- Ribs & Company: BBQ is always a favorite in this area! This family restaurant specializes in BBQ baby back ribs, but also offer a full menu of chicken, fish, pasta, sandwiches, and much more.
Brewed over
There are a few breweries in Providence. Trinity Brewhouse, located across from the Civic Center with on your Massachusetts travels is the perfect place to grab a glass of freshly brewed beer to a grilled eggplant sandwich. There are always six to eight beers on tap here.
Get out into the city
Providence is the capital and most populous city in Rhode Island and also one of the first cities established in the Untied States. Providence was founded by Roger Williams, a religious exile from the Massachusetts Bay Colony. The city was once noted for its jewelry and silverware industry. Today, it has eight hospitals and seven institutions of higher learning, which has shifted to a service industry. The restaurants here are known for their fine dining experience.
