Fall: Celebrate the harvest at Old Sturbridge Village this autumn with exciting attractions and exclusive events. Popular events include Apple Days in early October, and Harvest Days which happen mid-month. New England car rental travelers can also participate in special Hallowe'en events including the spooky "Things That Go Bump in the Night" festival, which includes trick-or-treating and scarey storytelling. Thanksgiving Day Celebrations are held every holiday weekend and includes various holiday activities.
Winter: This is a magical season at Old Sturbridge Village, thanks to fresh blankets of snow and horse draw sleigh rides. Christmas celebrations are held all December long at this living museum, including great vacation camps for school children. In January, New England car rental travelers will have the opportunity to participate in Native American winter traditions, while March is all about Maple Syrup!
Spring: New adventures and activities are constantly blooming during the spring season at old Sturbridge Village. During the month of April, Old Sturbridge provides the setting for plenty of great Boy and Girl Scout outings. Mid-June plays host to the annual Muster Days as the sights and sounds of muskets fill the air throughout the village.
Summer: July and August are filled with patriotic pride at Old Sturbridge Village, so don't forget to pack your red, white, and blue in the back of your New England car rental! Independence Day celebrations last all day on July 4th, while the largest military reenactment in New England takes place in early August. The Redcoats & Rebels reenactment features more than 800 soldiers portraying British, Hessian, Irish, Welsh, Scottish, French, and Colonial troops. Mock battles, and cannon demonstrations are the highlight of this unique festival.
