Massachusetts Travel and New England Revolution MLS

Imagine that you are in a stadium with thousands of screaming fans. People are everywhere you look and most of them have on team colors and some even have their faces painted. The noise is outstanding and the atmosphere is intense. You want your team to win and you would do anything to help them achieve that. It is one of the biggest and most exciting games you have ever been to and you couldn't imagine being anywhere else at this moment. The buzzer goes and your team came out on top! You won, you won! The only way to experience this excitement is to attend a New England Revolution MLS game on your Massachusetts travel vacation.

Building a dynasty

The professional soccer team that is based in Massachusetts is sometime called "The Revs". This club represents all of New England and they got their name because of how New England was involved in the American Revolution. Robert Kraft is the owner of the Revs and he also owns the New England Patriots in the NFL. The navy blue and red colors are worn proudly at each game and if you want to see true talent, come check out the New England Revolution on your Massachusetts travel trip.

Just like a second home

The Revs were founded in 1995, so they are a fairly recent phenomenon. They are coached by Steve Nichol and they play all of their games in the Gillette Stadium. From 1996-2001, though, the team played their games in the Foxboro Stadium which was eventually demolished. The New England Revolution is the only MLS team that has been televised for every game they have ever played. If you are looking for an exciting thing to do on your Massachusetts travel vacation, come see the men in action at the Gillette Stadium.

Down, but not out

Unfortunately, the Revs have never won a major trophy yet, but they have been runners up in the MLS Cup, the US Open Cup and the MLS Supporters' Shield. They are, however, one of only three teams in the league that date back past 2005 and have not won one of the three major titles. This has not discouraged them, though, because they continue to work harder each day and strive to come out on top. Discover their dedication and work ethic as you watch them play on your Massachusetts travel expedition.

An enemy to be reckoned with

Like many teams in any sporting event, the New England Revolution has a rival team. The New York Red Bulls have been their biggest rivals. They have, although, had small rivals in DC United and Chicago Fire as well. The club's supporter clubs are the Rev Army and Midnight Riders. During the American Revolution, Paul Revere and William Dawes proclaimed the disappearance of the British from Boston to Concord. The Midnight Riders were named in honor of these two men. There is so much history to be discovered just at the stadium alone that you should come and learn about Boston's past as well as its present.

Proud supporters

The New England Revolution games are so popular that they are always broadcasted on the television and radio. They are shown on WSKB and are broadcast on the radio by WEEI. Brad Feldman and Greg Lalas have been the commentators for years and have done a great job at keeping the fan's spirit alive. There have been many great players and many great coaches to have come through this club. This is a great soccer team with a lot of potential and you can help by cheering them on when you go on your Massachusetts travel vacation.
