National Heritage Museum and New England Rental Cars
The National Heritage Museum in Lexington, Massachusetts is a museum with an emphasis on American history and Freemasonry. It also contains the Gorden-Williams Library, a Masonic research library. The Museum was founded by the Northern Masonic Jurisdiction Scottish Rite appendant body of Freemasonry. The museum features general interest galleries with changing exhibits about American history and culture, Massachusetts history and industry, decorative arts, and Lexington's role in the American Revolution.

From May to October, a Liberty Ride bus starting at the National Heritage Museum will have an informative 90-minute tour of the Lexington-Concord area. Inspired by the valuable information covered in the tour, many riders disembark and visit the Heritage Shop for books that uniquely tell the story of the area. Visitors can also tour the Museum's exhibitions accompanied by a knowledgeable member of the museum's staff. One of the highlights of the National Heritage Museum's collection is a 15 - star American flag made between 1795 and 1818. The only other 15 - star flag on public view is the Star Spangled Banner at the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C. The National Heritage Museum is open Tuesday to Saturday 10 AM - 4:30 PM and Sunday noon - 4:30 PM. It is closed Mondays except for selected holidays. Admission and parking are free when you travel with your New England rental cars.
