With the preserved farm structures, visitors get to experience what life was like back in the day. Dating back to 1756, the Hiller Family have owned and worked on this once fully operating farm and dairy. The farm stand you see today was once Eastover Farm Dairy until 1963. Made up of over one hundred acres the farm is surrounded conservation land managed by The Rochester Lands Trust. Protecting the future
The land surrounding the farm was cared for by the Hiller family up until it was permanently protected between 2003 and 2005 by The Trustees of Reservations, the Town of Rochester, and the Massachusetts Department of Agricultural Resources. Today it is a 75 acre nature preserve that can be enjoyed by everyone.
A harvest for everyone to enjoy
There is plenty to keep your belly full when on a trip with your rental car Plymouth. The Eastover Farm has a farm stand which offers steamed hot dogs, ice cream, preserves, fresh-baked pies, cookies, candy, pure maple syrup, local honey and so much more! Eastover Farm also offers fresh produce such as lettuce, spinach, beets, carrots, summer squash, cukes, and broccoli. By going green, you not only support the local economy but you preserve a part of the environment. The farm stand is open with fruits and vegetables beginning in May through November from 9:00 am to 5:00/6:00 pm, seven days a week.

PYO? That’s pick your own blueberries of course! If you’re looking to do a little of your own fruit picking July is the perfect time to come visit Eastover Farm with your rental car Plymouth. The blueberry patch is open from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm seven days a week. For $1.50 a pound of blueberries and with the fresh country air, Eastover Farm is a great place to be during the summer months.
In tune with nature
Experience the rare opportunity to explore the beauty of nature that surrounds the farm. The open fields give the country setting a peaceful feel. Bobolinks, orioles and chimney swifts are aplenty near the wood shelter, fields, and barns. There are also miles of trails that pass through the agricultural fields, forests, and hedgerows. This is all surrounded by quarry stone capped double walls. Travellers are advised to stay on the designated trails in order to protect the farmland, fragile natural systems and reduce potential exposure to Lyme disease. If your bring pets, they must be leashed at all times.
Fun for the kids
Come and see Eastover Farm’s signature horse, the Clydesdale when you travel with your rental car Plymouth. Along with burros and Shetland ponies, the animals of Eastover Farm bring a quaint charm that has visitors coming back again and again. Of course you will also find a variety of traditional farm animals that are expected for a farm setting, all here for visitors to enjoy. Hayrides and wagonrides are also offered on weekends.
